Legalisation of Documents
Documents can be legalized only after they have been legalized by the MFA of issuing country.
When submitting documents for legalization, please present the following:
• the document (original or a notarized copy) to be legalized
• valid passport or other identity document of the person submitting the document for legalization.
• consular fee for legalization of one document - 30 EUR can be paid only by bank card at the embassy.
Procedures take up to 7 working days. Legalized documents can be sent back via DHL after the completion on the account of submitter. One person can submit not more then 10 documents. Embassy of Lithuania in Singapore legalizes documents issued in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam only.
In advance registration is required.

Legalisation of documents or Certificate (Apostille) allows official documents originating from one country to be recognized when presented in another country.
- Legalisation of document is a verification of the signature, the position of the signatory and the stamp in the document. Legalisation of document is carried out by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic representations or consular posts of the Republic of Lithuania.
- Certificate (Apostille) is a specialized certificate attached to the original document to verify it is legitimate and authentic. The Certificate (Apostille) verifies the signature, the position of the signatory and the stamp in the document. Notaries of the Republic of Lithuania issue Certificate (Apostille) for documents originating from Lithuania.
